Ok, 2020 is soon to be over, but let us not forget how everyone this year was on a baking banana bread frenzy. Banana bread is good, but it’s even better with nutella and coconut, Trust me! I am not a huge fan of banana bread, but with these additional flavors, it’s to die for. The extra sweetness from the nutella and coconut will satisfy all those late night sweet tooth cravings.. You may want to eat a whole loaf on your own and after the year we just had, you deserve it!
How do you make nutella coconut banana bread?
First things first, you are going to need ripe bananas! Not too ripe like they are growing mold, but ripe enough that they are mostly brown with some yellow on them and are soft and mushy. After, you are going to place the wet and dry ingredients into separate bowls. Peel and smash your ripe bananas and add the brown sugar, nutella, sweetened shredded coconut, vanilla extract, egg, and butter and mix it all together. In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet while continuously stirring.
Once your mixture is done, add it to a bread pan. To the top of the mixture add some more nutella and swirl it into the top with a knife and top off with some more sweetened shredded coconut! Place in a pre-heated oven at 325F and bake for about 50-55 minutes, until a knife comes out clean after piercing the middle. Remove it from the oven and enjoy!
Do I have to add coconut?
The answer is of course you don’t! If you don’t like coconut feel free to omit it from the recipe, it still comes out delicious. Trust me. I have made it both ways!
