These chocolate chip pretzel cookies come out huge and very round, like the ones from Levain Bakery. Their center is soft and chewy, almost like a dense cake consistency.

How do you make Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies?

As always, preheat your oven to 350F first.

Separate the wet and dry: In one bowl, combine your cold butter, white sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. In another, combine your cake flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

Mix your ingredients: Using a mixer, mix the wet ingredients first, then slowly add your dry ingredients. You will notice that the mixture becomes thick and forms a cookie dough consistency once everything is incorporated. If you don’t have a stand mixer, you may have to mix it by hand towards the end.

Fold in your pretzels and chocolate chips: Measure out your pretzels and slightly crush them as you add them to  your mix. Add your chocolate morsels to the mix and fold. Don’t beat!

Scoop your cookies and bake: Using a LARGE cookie dough scooper, scoop out the cookies and place them on a cookie sheet with about two inches in between each cookie. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove and allow them to cool before eating!
