For The Love Of Guacamole

I hated avocados before I met my wife, hence, I never tried guacamole before her. But O-MY-GOD, it is one of my favorite dips and definitely one that should be served at every party. Yeah, I know this isn’t a Cuban recipe but, what’s life without guacamole?

I typically make this recipe when we would have family get-togethers on Sundays at my parents’ house and especially during the summer. No lie, we spent a summer at the Keys once, and I was practically making this every day. Obsession was an understatement.

There is a running joke with my borther in-law, because apparently, he once took my wife to Chipotle before we were married and didn’t let her add guacamole to her meal because of the price. He would always jokingly point out the number of sides of guacamole he’d be able to buy with the money he was spending on any given item. He would always say, “That’s $10?!? I can buy 5 sides of guacamole with that!” Anyways, now whenever we go to Chipotle I joke around with my wife saying that we can’t afford the guac there because it’s too expensive. But if I am being completely honest, the price of it has gotten just little out of hand and it’s not getting any cheaper, so now you can make it yourself!
