Pre-heat your oven to 350F.
Season your swordfish with the salt and garlic powder on both sides. Add the lime juice.
On the side, in a bowl, combine your cilantro and red onions. Once mixed, spread it over both sides of the sword fish. Allow to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat for 3-5 minutes. Once hot, add the canola oil, and lower the heat to medium. Add the sword fish and sear on each side for about 2-3 minutes, until there is a nice brown sear to the fish.
After, place in the oven for five minutes and allow it to finish cooking.
Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!
