Ingredients

  • 1 box Pasta You can use whichever one
  • 14 oz Goya Naturally Smoked Chorizos sliced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ cup Onion diced
  • cup Green pepper diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic diced
  • 1 28oz can Diced tomatoes
  • 1 8oz Tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tlbs Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dry basil
  • ½ tsp Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta as directed by the box. 
  • Dice your onions, garlic, and green peppers. 
  • Add the olive oil to a pan and heat over medium-high heat. Once hot, add your diced onions, garlic, and green peppers. Cook for five minutes. 
  • While your sofrito is cooking, slice the chorizo. Add the chorizo to the sofrito and toss to combine. Cook for another five minutes, until the chorizo starts turning brown. 
  • After, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste, along with salt, onion powder, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring it to a boil. 
  • Once boiling, lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 minutes. 
  • Once your pasta is cooked, drain the water from the pot. Add the sauce to the pasta and mix.
  • Serve and enjoy!
