Ingredients

  • ¾ cup of butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp of vanilla
  • 1 ½ tsp of baking powder
  • 1 ¾ cups of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 ½ cup of chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375F.
  • In a bowl combine your baking powder, flour, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a stand mixer, add your brown sugar, white sugar, and butter and mix on medium speed until it is light and fluffy.
  • Add your eggs one at a time making sure they are well incorporated. Finally add your vanilla.
  • Slowly add your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients. Add about ¼ cup at a time.
  • Once your dough is made, add your chocolate chips and mix on medium speed for about 1-2 minutes. Don’t over mix it because it can cause your cookie to come out having a cake like texture.
  • Place the dough in a 10 or 12 inch skillet and bake in the oven at 375F for about 45 minutes. (If you like your cookie slightly raw in the middle only cook for 35-40 minutes)
  • Once the cookie is out of the oven, allow it to slightly cool for about 10 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream on top and enjoy!
  • If you want to be fancy, top the cookie with flaky sea salt after it’s out of the oven, just to give it that final touch!
